"Upper eyelid plastic surgery"

I only had to take one long look in the mirror to realize I had an upper eyelid problem. More and more, I was reminding myself of a basset hound. My eyelids were literally lying on my eyelashes. I wondered what would happen when they couldn't hold them. I waited to have plastic surgery until the aesthetic problem was turning into a medical one. I was having trouble with my peripheral vision while driving. My eyes were tired and my eyelid lashes were getting heavier.

I finally decided to do something about it and made an appointment for a consultation. Dr. Petros Christodoulou, M.D. of MEDICOM Clinic agreed that surgery was necessary. He must have also noticed my nervousness, because he immediately assured me that it was an easy and almost painless procedure with minimal recovery time. I was reassured to learn that it is one of the most common surgeries ever.

After my first consultation, I was sure I had to and wanted to have the procedure. A lot of my nervousness was lifted because of this. I just realized that right after the procedure, which was scheduled for June 2018, the World Cup would start. So I probably won't see a few games. In the end, I really only heard a few - although I must admit that the bandage went down for a while at key moments.

I felt good in the hall too, although I was a bit tense. Dr Christodoulou put me at ease with his confidence though. We even laughed together. I also really liked the environment of the clinic, where I was looked after by kind and helpful staff and lovely nurses.

After the operation I felt euphoric that it was finally over. I was full of adrenaline and nothing hurt. The clinic advised me in advance to bring a companion. And I was grateful for that. My eyelids were taped over with bandages and it would have been hard to get home alone. The recovery then went more easily and briskly than expected. I may have underestimated it a bit, but everything healed beautifully, quickly, without swelling or any other complications.

I was a little scared at the first sight of the fresh stitches. Even at that moment, however, it was obvious what the result would be. And I am really happy for it. My eyes are much lighter and more open to the eye, nothing is in the way when I look to the side.

I made no secret of the procedure, so my surroundings noticed the change immediately. All the comments from my family were very positive. I may have even non-violently motivated a few of my friends to change on their own. Now, I would advise men with a similar problem not to hesitate as long as I did. There is nothing to think about. I would say that women are definitely more decisive in this regard.

Mr. Pavel contacted me with the problem of significant upper eyelid overhangs, which were causing limitation of his peripheral vision. I recommended a blepharoplasty procedure under local anaesthesia, where the excess skin is removed. After the procedure, only a fine scar remains, which is hidden in the eye crease and also almost completely disappears after time. The healing process was uneventful and we are both satisfied with the result.
