What does modelling provide?
We will address both minor and major degrees of tuberous (tubular) breasts and give them a more feminine, attractive shape. We most commonly correct tuberous breasts by breast augmentation with implants, breast modeling with augmentation, or even modeling alone without augmentation. Breast augmentation with implants alone is more suitable for low degrees of deformity. During the procedure, the mammary gland is reconstructed in such a way that the tuberous, conical shape is eliminated and the size of the areolae is reduced as necessary. If necessary, breast modelling is also performed. In the final stage, an implant, either round or anatomical in shape, may be inserted into the breast. Some forms of tuberous breast can also be treated in combination with fat transfer or composite augmentation.
4 degrees of severity
Tuberous breasts are divided into 4 degrees of severity:
- Grade 1: One of the lower quadrants of the breast is less developed, and the breast is of normal size and shape. The breasts appear more pointed and the bra crease is set a little higher than normal.
- Stage 2: The tissue of both lower quadrants is less developed. The breasts are small, but the breast yard is normal.
- Grade 3: The tissue of both lower quadrants is less developed. There is a visible skin deficiency in the lower part of the breast below the areola, so it slopes downwards and the breast appears saggy. The areola tends to be enlarged.
- Grade 4: The breasts are generally small and underdeveloped. The mammary gland protrudes outwards from the areola, which is enlarged.

Choosing the right procedure
The consultation includes a diagnosis of your tuberous (tubular) breasts. There are several degrees of severity: from a mild deficit in the lower quadrants of the breast to the most severe grade 4. This too will determine whether a simple implant filling will be sufficient or whether the breast modelling will be more extensive.
Surgery date and pre-operative examination
If you decide on the procedure during the initial consultation, you and your doctor will immediately agree on the date of the surgery and the comprehensive pre-operative examination, which takes place at our clinic. Before the surgery, we recommend that you reduce or completely stop smoking.
Length of surgery
The length of the procedure depends on the complexity of the surgery. A classic breast augmentation with implants can take as little as an hour. However, if you and your surgeon have agreed on a more extensive breast augmentation, the operation can take up to 3 hours.
Preparing for the procedure
For the milder form of tuberous breasts, we will augment the breasts with implants and break all the ligament bands in the breasts. In many cases, the most effective solution is breast modeling with augmentation, where glandular remodeling is also performed. Some forms of tuberous breast can also be addressed by transferring the fatty tissue itself.
Hospitalization takes a day or two
After surgery, you will stay in the clinic for 1 to 2 days. If you live in a city where our clinics are located, we will provide you with a free ride home. Otherwise, arrange for a ride, as you will not be able to drive after the procedure.
Please observe the resting regime
After surgery, it is essential to observe a resting regime to avoid complications such as blood clots or implant displacement, especially in the first week after the procedure. A special elastic bra without underwire must be worn for 4 to 8 weeks. After 2 months, you can start playing sports again.
Three post-operative check-ups
One week after the procedure, you will have your first check-up, after another 3 weeks you will have your second check-up and after 3 months you will have your last check-up. This way we can be sure that your breasts are completely healthy. After your breast augmentation with implants, we recommend that you have a follow-up sonogram every year.
The implants will last for many years
Possible correction or repeat procedures are sometimes required more by young mothers whose breasts change after childbirth and due to breastfeeding. Another possible reason for repeat surgery is radical weight loss or the size or shape of the implant is no longer suitable.

There are several options for modelling, depending on the patient's condition. However, the doctor always chooses a surgical procedure that leaves you with minimal visible scars in the breast area. Most often, the scar runs around the areola, from the areola vertically downward and arcing to the bra crease, where it is almost not visible.
The final shape of the breasts can be discussed about 3-6 months after the procedure.
