How the treatment works

The entire procedure is performed on an outpatient basis. A topical numbing cream is applied to the affected area, or the area is cooled. Botulinum toxin is then injected under the skin using a fine insulin needle. This is a local treatment so that the other sweat glands on the body will function as before. After the procedure , do not visit the sauna or solarium for a few days or engage in vigorous sports. The maximum effect of sweating elimination usually occurs after 3-7 days.

During the procedure

Before the procedure , local anesthesia is applied to the site to minimize discomfort. Botulinum toxin is injected with a thin needle into the affected area. The procedure can take 15-45 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated. The entire process is performed on an outpatient basis and is minimally invasive.

Long-term care

After the procedure, you can return to your normal activities immediately. We recommend avoiding intense sports, sauna and tanning for a few days.
