How the procedure works
The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic, so you won't feel any pain. At the same time, you can cooperate and communicate with the doctor during the procedure. The whole operation takes about 45 minutes. We will remove excess skin on your upper eyelids (usually 10 to 20 millimetres wide), as well as fatty bags under the circular eye muscle - these are often caused by swelling of the upper eyelids in particular.
The result of the operation is only a small and inconspicuous scar that is hidden in the natural eye fold. However, the "invisibility" of the scar is not only due to its location, but also to the suture - our plastic surgeons use a subcutaneous suture, the so-called intradermal suture.

The first step is an initial consultation with the surgeon. You will learn all about the procedure and post-operative healing. We will show you photos of previous clients before and after the procedure. The extent of the pre-operative examination for eyelid surgery depends on the doctor's recommendations. You should not take medications that affect blood clotting approximately 4 weeks before surgery. Consult your surgeon in advance about any medications you normally take. You should not have any acute illness two weeks before surgery.

Recovery after the procedure
Cold compresses, possibly in combination with the use of analgesics, will help with swelling and pain. In the first week after the procedure , observe a strict resting regime - do not play sports, do not watch TV for long periods of time and do not read. In the case of upper eyelid surgery, it is advisable to spend as much time as possible lying down to minimize pressure on the fresh scar. Do not touch the stitches or the scars themselves immediately after removal.
Eyelid massage
In the 14 days after the stitches have been pulled, you will begin gentle pressure massage - ideally 5 times a day for 30 seconds. You can return to normal physical activity about 2 weeks after surgery, and to more strenuous sporting activities in a month. It is advisable to wait at least 14 days before applying eye make-up.

The excellent result of the procedure and the effect of facial rejuvenation can then be enhanced by the subsequent application of botulinum toxin, which, among other things, serves as a solution to mimic wrinkles in the outer corners of the eyes. However, the procedure must always be approved by a doctor.
In the case of the lower eyelids, a very popular and effective method of laser surgery is the so-called lower transconjunctival blepharoplasty. For the upper eyelids, the only possible method is the classic scalpel blepharoplasty.
